George woke me up at 6am this morning, she must have sensed I was near waking and decided it’d be a good opportunity to get pats and she came and sat on my chest whilst sniffing my chin before purring obnoxiously loudly in order to get strokes! She never used to be a cat alarm when I actually had to get up that early!
Despite the early and rude awakening, I went back to sleep again and got up when Pierre did for work. I managed to do a bit of housework before Pierre’s folks came over as they were going to the Cheshire Smokehouse and asked me if I wanted to tag along. P & I had been talking about going but hadn’t gotten round to it so I jumped at the chance of going and stocking up on some lovely smokey goodies!
My back is still full of fail, but not as bad as yesterday so it just meant I was slower than normal. After we’d been to the Smokehouse (I thought I’d spend more than I actually did!) we went to the garden centre in Wilmslow for a look around and a coffee which was nice. After they dropped me back at home, I rang my Dad to see if he was around but he’d gone out to visit his sister, so I had a post office run and bought a few bits for lunch then decided to sit on the sofa for the rest of the afternoon. The world had other ideas though as 1. the phone rang 2. delivery of package 3. postman had a thing he couldn’t fit through the door 4. George pestering to go outside 5. anything else!
