HTC Sensation XE – Standard Camera

Pierre is finishing the painting in the back bedroom today, it’s gloss and radiator paint today. I had a mooch upstairs before and it looks really good now it’s all almost done!

Whilst P was decorating I went to Sainsbury’s and did some shopping, I was expecting it to be really busy again but I suppose it really was Aldi opening weekend excitement last weekend that made it so busy as it was really quiet! When I got back I took this picture of the nice rose bush as it’s decided it’s happy to flower this year and there’s only a few more weeks before everything needs to get cut back in preparation for winter.

I managed to escape any calls last night but despite that I slept really badly, I just can’t get comfortable, I suppose it’s natures way of telling me it’s going to be like this for ages so get used to it! I’d be happier if I wasn’t working as I can snooze and nap otherwise. This is my last weekend of lates/cover though so I can suck it up. I’ve got one more weekend to do mid October but that’s days and then after that I can pretend I’ve got a normal Mon-Fri job until I finish in December!

I forgot to take a picture today (oops!) so I’ve taken a video of George (today’s the 30th!) and I’m using that instead. She was miaowing in the garden and if you do it back she’ll generally miaow back at you, typically as soon as I took my phone out, she stopped so you get to hear me sound like a loon miaowing at my cat. 

I got called out as soon as I went to bed last night (meh) and when I got to bed, it took me ages to sleep so I was tired today. Pierre decided to get the decorating on and painted the back bedroom. I got out of it as non of my decorating clothes fit and I didn’t want to ruin any of my new stuff with paint (hows that for an excuse?!). I did however clean the house from top to bottom so by the time I had to work at 3, I was knackered!

HTC Sensation XE – Standard Camera

Well up early this morning to take my car to the garage, when I came back I came in the front gate and saw this massive spiderweb, it went from the leylandii to the table in the middle of the garden. Luckily there is no spider in it but I’ll have to deploy P to destroy it later!

I got a call from the garage just before lunch to say my car is fixed, it wasn’t cheap but wasn’t as expensive as I was anticipating so not that bad all in all. P’s dad kindly took my down to the garage to pick it up and I took it for a test drive just to make sure it’s all ok, which it appears to be.

Work this afternoon, meh, I have a feeling in my bones it’s going to be busy and I’m already getting my grump on …

HTC Sensation XE – Standard Camera

Well my car decided to play up today (joy) and the ABS light came on, on the way to work in the morning. A quick google seemed to suggest there was nothing to worry about so I didn’t mind driving home in it. Driving home however I started to hear a clunking noise at the rear offside wheel. Clunking noises are never good and nearly always expensive so I rang the garage as soon as I got in and luckily he said to drop it off first thing in the morning.

After sorting that out, Pierre came home not long after and we got ready to go out as his folks had tickets to go to the VIP night at The Green Dragon in Lymm. Despite being super tired (this cold really is a lingerer!) it was a really nice night and the food they served was lovely. I’d never been before so I’d be tempted to see what their Sunday Roast’s are like!

HTC Sensation XE – Standard Camera

I was up bright and early for work this morning, well early, I nor the weather was very bright in all honesty! I’m thoroughly sick of this rain too, it feels like it’s not stopped since we got back from our holiday.

I had a shortish day as I left early to go to an appointment with the midwife, I got to hear that little heartbeat again, it’s amazing no matter how many times I hear it! When I got in, I started to marinade the chicken for tonight’s dinner then coloured my hair as it needed doing. I caught George sat on the radiator and liked how dark the shadows were against the brightness of the garden.

I wish I could be all “yay it’s nearly Friday” but I’m working all weekend, in fact I’ve just realised I’m doing another 12 days in a row. I might have to put a sneaky day in to break it up a little. I’ll be exhausted by the time I finish all of that!

HTC Sensation XE – Standard Camera

Well I escaped getting called out last night so should have had a nice rest but my cold ridden head had other ideas and as it was I didn’t get to sleep until gone 230 and the sleep I got was broken as I can’t breathe properly because I’m so congested! Pierre was up super early for his taxi and I was pretty much awake from then until I got out of bed for work (stayed in bed ages as I thought any rest is better than none!).

Work was blah, quiet really, by the time I’d finished it was straight to Piccadilly to pick Pierre up. I’d text him earlier to say I couldn’t be arsed cooking (as it was my night!) so could we get pizza. I think I said pizza 9 times in the text message, it worked anyway as we ordered pizza when we got in 😀

HTC Sensation XE – Standard Camera

I slept awesomely last night! I even managed to have a lie in this morning which was much needed. I sprung into action once I got up though (mostly to make up for feeling so lame yesterday, although I was helping yesterday I had to keep sitting down as I was so tired and ill!) and did myself a “to do” list on the board in the kitchen. I’ve now managed to do everything on it, which is amazing as the pile of ironing I had was epic, I’ve boxed up all of my work clothes that no longer fit as I’m not going to be needing them now until probably this time next year now!

Once I’d gotten all of the to do list done, it was time for work so no rest for me today (although it’s hopefully a good sign I’m on the mend from this cold!)

HTC Sensation XE – Standard Camera

I forgot to take an intentional picture today so I’m using one I snapped of George as she looked so cute curled up asleep with her paw over her face! I had to take a picture with the flash on as the room was quite dark and she looks like a dark blob unless there is lots of light in the room!

We had a busy/not busy day today. I had a horrid nights sleep, I just couldn’t settle and felt achy and my back was killing and I couldn’t breathe properly because I was congested and what else … other things I can’t remember 😀 Despite the lack of sleep I was still awake early but I stayed in bed until Pierre was ready to get up. Once we’d gotten breakfast out of the way we decided to make a start on trying to dismantle the back bedroom so we can decorate it at some point. We dismantled the computer desk, boxed up the things in the room and took all the wall fixings down. It doesn’t sound like a lot but it took ages as there was quite a bit to get through.

Once we’d done that, we re-hung the wipe board in the kitchen. By this point I’d had enough and did the slightly easier task of blowing up my training ball (as I think it’ll be good for sitting when I’m all achy!) but Pierre carried on and sorted the garden out.

The rest of the night was spent flumped on the sofa watching movies!

HTC Sensation XE – Standard Camera

Here’s the owl we bought in Lanzarote! Pierre put it up  the day after we got back but by the time I remembered to take a picture of it, it was always dark so when we came in today I snapped it before I forgot!

We got up early this morning, I was starting to get a dry throat and it woke me up and after the millionth bathroom trip I went downstairs to put the washing machine on so we decided to get up and be useful!

After breakfast we went to Makro to buy some more storage boxes for the loft and then went to do the food shop. We remembered that Aldi had opened so we went there (it was packed!!!) for the fresh stuff and then hit Sainsbury’s for the rest of the stuff we needed.

When we got back I was ready for bed (seriously, this is how crappy I’m feeling!) so that’s exactly what I did! George must have decided to join me at some point because when Pierre woke me up she was curled up next to me!

I’ll most likely have an easy night again tonight and try and get as much rest in as possible! Hopefully tomorrow I’ll feel a bit better and I can go and see my Mum as she’s back from the States today!

HTC Sensation XE – Standard Camera

Work was really really slow today therefore it dragged like anything, that plus the lack of air con in the office meant for a grumpy and tired Caroline.

The tired Caroline continued once I got home, I wanted to do a face mask as my skin is looking rubbish (what pregnancy glow?!) so I did that and had a long soak in the bath and actually read my kindle for a while before falling asleep on the bed. I woke up when Pierre came back from work and then I knew I’d caught the office cold for real as I felt terrible.

I’m definitely asking for the flu shot asap at my next midwife appointment, I don’t want to keep getting ill all winter and I’ve got a crap week of work coming up with a lot of cover so the “cold” has come at just the right time. Meh.

We went to KFC for dinner as we were both tired, we spend the evening watching movies on the couch (and me sniffling, coughing, spluttering and moaning about being ill!!!)
